Face 2 Face

Face to Face

Face to Face is more than ‘Cells’ or bible study groups. It is doing life together in a smaller context. We meet on the first sunday of each month in homes to facilitate genuine fellowship, intentional discipleship and biblical ‘oneness’.

Meeting in homes on the first Sunday of each month,.

Face to Face is not:

Becoming part of a home/house Church movement.

  • Just creating small groups in homes.
  • Another opportunity for us to get together with our closest friends whom we only like hanging out with.
  • Creating a  ‘Sunday Off’ from Church, this will be just as much church as altogether on Sundays, it’s still Church, just in different locations, remembering whenever God’s people gather, this is the Church.

 Face to Face is:

 What takes place?

Facilitated by your Pastoral Care Couple, F2F is not just a bible study/mini church service. We are sticking to our aim and will do various things that can bring us to this end.

 When?

First Sunday of each month.

Where?

Mainly in homes but can be anywhere that enabes ‘Oneness’.

  Time?

These gatherings will be kept within the normal time frame of when we usually meet altogether on a normal Sunday and our start times can all be synchronised to be approximately the same.

How about the children in the group?

The easiest thing will be to put them in a room with a DVD; this is fine if it is a suitable video which nurtures them towards our purpose.  ICC will provide an activity sheet for those aged 5-13, however, those 14+ should be encouraged to stay in the main group.

Ministering to the needs of others:  Needs will become obvious and apparent and many will not be able to be met in the context of these face-to-face meetings. Have a strategy to build and help each other beyond Sundays.               There will need to be a level of confidentiality.

Please be patient and flexible, this is an unusual step and needs everyone to work together.  (Hebrews 13:17)
