Our Philosphy on Missions

Outreach and Missions: This is our ‘Primary Purpose’, to show the world the love and glory of God. Even though we financially, prayerfully and physically support local and other mission ventures outside of ICC, we have no mission’s committee or budget.  We understand missions and evangelism are a lifestyle and not an event; it’s what we do, everyday, 24/7.

A church with a missions program usually sees missions as one activity alongside many other equally important programs of the church. A Missional church focuses all of its activities around its participation in

God’s mission must form and inform everything we do.

As a Missional people the Missional church understands its fundamental purpose as being rooted in God’s mission to restore and heal creation and to call people into a reconciled relationship with Himself.

It is God’s mission that calls the church into existence. In other words, we can no longer see the church as the starting point when thinking about mission. Instead, the church must be seen as the result of God’s mission.

“it is not so much that God has a mission for his church in the world, but that God has a church for his mission in the world” (Christopher Wright 2006).

We love to reach out to the poor, broken and hurting (with no strings attached); we do this because it is on the heart of God and we understand and love to reflect our Father’s heart. There is no instruction or excuse in scripture that Christians have to be completely ‘whole’, ‘healed’, etc. before they can obey the command of Jesus to love lost people.
